1. When does MTB Kerala 6th Edition take place?
21st & 22nd December 2019
2. Where is the event?
This year MTB takes place in Priyadarshini Tea Environs, Mananthavady, Wayanad district in the state of Kerala in India.
3. What are the different categories?
There are three categories for this race:
International Cross Country
National Cross Country - Men
National Cross Country - Women
This year additional race included for Amateurs – "Fun & Thrill Challenge
4. What is the entry fee?
Registration for International & National participants is free of cost. Registration fee for Amateur – "Fun & Thrill Challenge" is Rs.1,000/- per participants. The registration for amateurs can be done online starting from 5th December 2019 onwards
5. Is the race open only to professionals?
Only valid UCI & CFI licensed nominees can be selected for both the National & International competition.
For "Fun & Thrill Championship" any cyclists who can manage to ride on mountain terrains can participate.
6. Is the race a team event or an individual event?
It is open to both individual riders and teams.
7. How does one register for the race?
a) For professionals: Only valid UCI & CFI licensed riders can participate in National & International categories. The riders can send their profile to cyclingfederationofindia@gmail.com. The technical committee will scrutinize the qualification of the riders and those who are qualified will be intimated. The last date for registration is 30th November 2019.
b) For Amateurs: Participants can register online for Fun & Thrill Challenge at MTB Kerala website www.mtbkerala.com Registration starting on 5th December 2019 at 10:00 AM onwards and closing on 10th December 2019 at 5:00 PM
8. What about insurance?
Where we deem that you do have your own insurance, the organizers get everyone involved with the race (riders, officials, marshals, support staff etc) insured for the duration of the race. This is directly done by the insurance company. The insurance covers you for any injury sustained during the race as specified in the policy document which will be made available to you at the time of the race.
9. Do I get some nutrition along the stages?
There are Nutrition Points at equivalent distances throughout the race course.
10. Is there any transportation available?
For International & National category riders: Free pick up has been arranged for the participants from Kannur/ Calicut International Airport and Kozhikode Railway Station.
For "Fun & Thrill Challenge" - local transportation at the venue.
11. Is there any food and accommodation?
Riders will be facilitated with ground transportation, accommodation and meals.
International riders will be provide stay for a maximum of 3 nights at best available hotel near the location on sharing basis
National riders are entitled for 2 nights stay on sharing basis .

13. Who organizes MTB Kerala?
MTB Kerala 2018 is organised by Govt of Kerala, Department of Tourism under the aegis of Kerala Adventure Tourism Promotion Society (KATPS), District Tourism Promotion Council (DTPC)- Wayanad and Cycling Federation of India (CFI).

Reaching Wayanad
Kannur International Airport is the nearest airport, situated at a distance of about 68 km from Mananthavady (venue of the track). Kozhikode Airport is about 115 km and Bangalore International Airport is at a distance of approximately 298 km from Mananthavady.
Kannur railway station is 91 kms and Kozhikode railway station is 96 kms from Mananthavady.
